Rusalka

Rusalka, a water nymph, has fallen in love with a prince and wishes to become human. The witch Ježibaba performs a spell that forces the water nymph to remain mute. Tired of her silence, the prince turns away from her and falls in love with a foreign princess. When the Prince tries to repent, Rusalka confesses the effects of the spell and drags him under the water.

Falstaff

To help him pay his debts at the Garter Inn, the Knight Falstaff tries to seduce two rich women at the same time, Alice Ford and Meg Page. The latter, wishing to punish him and teach him a good lesson, set a trap in which the fat seducer is quick to fall…

Turandot

First produced in 1883, at a time when French opera was seeking to reinvent itself, Henry VIII is a final tribute to the historical panoramas of grand opera. The work tells the story of the infamous Tudor king who, having fallen in love with Anne Boleyn, sets out to divorce Catherine of Aragon, thereby causing a rift between the Church of England and Rome.

Alzira

She sacrifices herself but Zamoro stabs him. When he dies, he forgives her.
