Alex Marev

Alexander Marev is a Polish-Bulgarian tenor, born in 2000
He began his vocal training at a very young age with the Bulgarian tenor Kaludi Kaludov. Later he was admitted to the vocal department of the renowned Queen Elisabeth Music Chapel to study with Jose van Dam. Parallel to this training in Belgium, Alexander Marev graduated from the vocal department of the Elsner Music School in Warsaw. He also studied at the Royal Brussels Conservatory in the class of Valerie Guillorit. Furthermore he coached under renowned English tenor Laurence Dale.
Alexander has won numerous national singing competitions in his native Poland and has taken part in many masterclasses. He was a soloist in a Christmas concert at the royal palace in Brussels where he performed in front of Belgian royal family broadcasted by several TV channels. For the 2021/22 season he was a member of the MM Academy, the young talent programme of the Opera La Monnaie/De Munt in Brussels. He made his stage debut in March 2022 as Matteo Borsa in Rigoletto under baton of Daniel Oren followed by his La Monnaie / Bozar debut as Knappe in concert version of Parsifal under direction of Alain Altinoglu.
PROJECTS FOR THIS SEASON INCLUDE NABUCCO IN WARSAW, L’ENFANT ET LES SORTILEGES AT BOZAR UNDER BATON OF ALAIN ALTINOGLU, NORMA AT LA MONNAIE IN BRUSSELS OR SOLOIST IN LIST’S FAUST SYMPHONY UNDER BATON OF GIAMPAOLO BISANTI.
In the last season 2024/.2025 he performed as Pang in Turandot at La MONNAIE, Melot in Tristan und Isolde at Opera Royal de Wallonie Liege, Marcellus in Hamlet at Teatro Regio di Torino as well as Flávio in Norma at Opera de Toulon.
